Gateway - How to view the ongoing online assessment.
Step 1.
Go to the web address http://www.discovery.edu.hk. By scrolling down the page you will see a link called Gateway click this link. The direct address is http://dc.tg.esf.edu.hk.

You will be greeted by a login screen. There are three types of users in the Gateway system.
- Staff
- Students
- Parents
To view full online assessment you will need to use the parent user name (Some parents have been using the student user name rather than the parent user name). In the top right of the screen you will see the message “Welcome (Family Name) Family”. This indicates you are logged in to the Gateway as a parent.

Step 3
If you have successfully logged in to the Gateway using your Parent User Name you should see a link called ARR in the top menu. Click ARR Report to open the Gateway Online Assessment Module. You will be presented with a list of the subjects that your child has been assessed on. The following page shows a typical subject report. If you see a blank report try first to select the current term (Term 2) from the drop down options at the top of the report. If you are still faced with a blank report it is possible that the teacher has not made the report active for viewing yet.

What to do if you can’t remember your user name or password for the Gateway
All parent user names were mailed to you in the first term of this academic year. If you are unsure of your user name please use the online use name retrieval system under the information menu of the Discovery College website “Retrieve Gateway User Name”.
Find Your Gateway User Name
Once you have retrieved your parent user name you can use this user name to reset your Gateway password. Do not enter your email address for password retrieval in the Gateway as your child may have entered your email address in their alterative email field and so you will just reset your child’s password.
