The five branches of mathematical study - number, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability and discrete mathematics - form the basis of what is to be studied in this course. Students will be expected to master basic concepts as well as develop skills such as problem solving, pattern recognition and generalizations, communication and reflection to help them apply classroom learning to the real life situations.
