MYP Yr 3 | Arts (Visual Arts) | Course Overview

The Year 9 Visual Arts course will focus on extending the student’s understanding of how the creative process can be used to express ideas and affect other people. They will continue to work on developing their practical skills on projects that are linked to their theoretical assignments, this will give them a multifaceted approach to build on their knowledge and understanding. Students will be expected to reflect their understanding through a variety of methods including; Class presentations, essay writing, practical artwork, group discussions and art exhibitions.

"What different processes do we use to be creative?”

Indication of summative assessment: Surrealist Illustration of a song, written responses to the creative processes of the Surrealist movement.
